Marty McDonald

Marty McDonald received his law degree in 1977 and has been practicing law in the Knoxville area since that time. Mr. McDonald has an active law practice with extensive experience in the areas of personal injury, workmen’s compensation, medical malpractice and domestic relations. He has spoken at seminars in the area of personal injury and workmen’s compensation. Mr. McDonald is a Rule 31 Certified Mediator and has mediated a variety of cases.


Mr. McDonald is an Army veteran having served as a Platoon Leader and Company Commander in Vietnam. He was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Army Accommodation Medal and Purple Heart. Mr. McDonald graduated from Officer Candidate School, taught Ranger School and is airborne qualified. Mr. McDonald served in the Tennessee National Guard from 1970 to 1978 as a Company Commander.


Mr. McDonald has been a member of numerous bar associations and committees, including the Alternate Dispute Committee and the Inter-Professional Relations Committee for the Knoxville Bar.


Mr. McDonald has enjoyed serving as a football and basketball official for a number of years for the TSSAA.
